This Privacy Policy explains how Tricky Genie collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Tricky Genie iOS app and related website.

1. Information We Collect

Account and sign-in information. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive authentication information needed to verify you and create or access your account. This can include your name, email address, provider identity token, provider-specific account metadata, and account record details returned by our backend such as your user ID, email verification status, and account timestamps.

Content you submit in the app. When you play, the app sends your current wish or message, your remaining wish count, and the conversation history needed for the genie response. The app also stores conversation history locally on your device, including your inputs, genie replies, summaries, outcomes, timestamps, and conversation status.

Subscription and purchase data. If you use premium features, we process subscription-related information from Apple and our billing backend, such as product identifiers, app account token, signed transaction information, original transaction ID, entitlement status, and expiration or renewal status.

Local device data. The app stores a session token in the iOS Keychain, stores conversation history in a local SQLite database on your device, and stores the onboarding-complete flag in local app preferences.

Support communications. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message.

Website data. The current landing page published from this repository is a static site. It does not include analytics SDKs, ad trackers, or contact forms in the code currently present here.

The current iOS app build reflected by this repository does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, photo library, or microphone.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to authenticate users, operate the app, generate genie responses, maintain conversation state, provide premium access, restore purchases, protect account security, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information in your wishes or chat messages unless you are comfortable with that information being processed to provide the service.

3. When We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Apple, if you use Sign in with Apple or buy or manage a subscription through the App Store.
• Google, if you choose Google Sign-In.
• Our backend and service providers, to authenticate users, process gameplay requests, and manage subscription entitlements through api.genie.dhibi.tn.
• Legal or safety recipients, if disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users, us, or others.
• A successor entity, if the service is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.

We do not state in this policy that we sell personal information, use third-party advertising SDKs, or perform cross-app behavioral tracking in the current app build reflected by this repository.

4. Legal Bases and Regional Disclosures

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a legal basis for processing, we generally process your information because it is necessary to provide the service you request, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Tricky Genie.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, deletion of, or information about the personal data we hold about you. You can use the in-app account deletion flow where available or contact us at dhibi.ywsf@gmail.com.

5. Retention and Deletion

Local data on your device. The app stores conversation history locally until you delete local data from Settings or otherwise remove the app data from your device. The saved session token remains in the Keychain until you sign out, delete local data, or delete your account.

Account deletion. The app includes an account deletion flow that requires email confirmation before the request is sent. When deletion succeeds, the app clears local conversation history and the saved local session on the device.

Server-side retention. We keep server-side data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain account and billing records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

6. Your Choices

You can choose whether to sign in with Apple or Google, whether to purchase premium, and whether to continue providing message content to the genie.

You can delete local data from the app's Settings screen. That action clears local chat history, the saved session, and the onboarding flag on that device.

You can cancel or manage App Store subscriptions through your Apple subscription settings. You can also restore prior App Store purchases from the paywall screen.

At present, the app allows you to review basic account details in Settings and request deletion through the in-app delete-account flow.

7. Security

We use measures intended to protect personal information, including secure platform storage for the local session token on iOS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Tricky Genie is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the issue.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, depending on where our providers and infrastructure operate. By using the service, you understand that those transfers may occur, subject to applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here, update the effective date above, and may provide additional notice in the app or on the website when appropriate.
